A Wedding Story Movie Review
IMDB Rating: 5.3/10

A Wedding Story, produced by Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee and Vinay Reddy set out to deliver a blend of cultural beliefs and horror. Nevertheless, despite its best efforts, the movie falls short and has the potential to be far more powerful.

Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee’s story is very ordinary and fails to scare the audience. His screenplay lacks thrills and chills, so necessary in a horror drama. Consequently, the viewers don’t feel a sense of participation in the unfolding drama because there are no occasions to shiver, shriek or scream or even feel frightened. Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharjee’s dialogues are average. On the whole, A Wedding Story neither entertains nor thrills. It will, therefore, bomb at the box-office.

If a book had to be written on how to not make a horror film in 2024, A Wedding Story could open the first chapter. A PG-level spook fest, this film doesn’t live up to the expectations.

Even though horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’ is dominating the box office, ‘A Wedding Story’ might still be worth a watch if you enjoy traditional horror.
Review By: Dhaval Site: Times Of India
A Wedding Story is a decent watch with a strong concept, promising premise, and atmospheric visuals. But, a more focused narrative and seamless screenplay would have elevated it to a more haunting experience.
